River Views & Voices

Spring River Walk & Community Open House

Wednesday, March 18
4:30–6:30 PM
Lincoln Park – Blatz Pavilion (1301 W Hampton Ave, Glendale)

As part of the Milwaukee Estuary Area of Concern work, MMSD, Milwaukee County Parks, and the Wisconsin DNR are improving fish and wildlife habitat at Lincoln Park.

These improvements will strengthen habitat for fish and wildlife and create better views of the Milwaukee River, helping all of us feel more connected to the water, nature, and this special place in our park.

We invite you to learn more and share your ideas at an upcoming Community Open House.

Stop by for a guided walk or warm up inside the Blatz Pavilion with a cup of hot cocoa. This is a great opportunity to connect with neighbors, explore the project area, and talk directly with project partners.

At the event, you can:

  • – Share your ideas for river views, wildlife habitat, and nature viewing areas
  • – Learn about the importance of plants growing in and near the water
  • – Explore how we will improve habitat for fish and wildlife
  • – Provide input to Milwaukee County Parks for future park projects

Guided Walk Options

Join one of two (or both!) guided loops, each less than 1 mile, both starting at the Blatz Pavilion:

Loop 1 – 4:45 PM: Blatz Pavilion → Green Bay Ave parking lot → back
Loop 2 – 5:30 PM: Blatz Pavilion → the island → back

Both walks offer a chance to explore the park, take in river views, and share your ideas.

Your voice can help shape a healthier, more beautiful river space for everyone. We hope to see you there!
